US.- The Michigan Gaming Control Board (MGCB) announced that Detroit’s three commercial casinos—MGM Grand Detroit, MotorCity Casino, and Hollywood Casino at Greektown—generated a total of $118.9 million in aggregate revenue (AGR) in April. This represents an 8.3 per cent increase year-over-year.

Of the total AGR, table games and slot machines contributed $118.03 million, marking a 7.8 per cent year-over-year gain and a 5.8 per cent increase from March 2026. From January 1 through April 30, overall revenue rose by 1.4 per cent compared to the prior year.

MGM Grand Detroit Casino held 49 per cent of the market share with $58.4 million in revenue, up 14.3 per cent year-over-year. MotorCity Casino accounted for 29 per cent, generating $34.1 million, an increase of 3.2 per cent, while Hollywood Casino at Greektown made up 22 per cent with $25.5 million, up 0.8 per cent.

As per the report, the casinos remitted $9.6 million in state gaming taxes, up from $8.9 million in April 2025. They also submitted $14.0 million in wagering taxes and development agreement payments to the City of Detroit.

The retail sports betting handle reached $8.7 million, with total gross receipts amounting to $868,546. Qualified adjusted gross receipts (QAGR) totaled $837,397, reflecting an increase of $520,859 from April 2025 and a 3.3 per cent rise from March 2026. The casinos paid $31,654 in state taxes and contributed $38,688 in wagering taxes to the City of Detroit.
